Let's Talk Wallpaper!
I don't mean your grandma's wallpaper. Not the brown, thick, floral wallpaper. I mean FUNKY! Fun patterns and bold colors can make a drab space fabulous. Wallpaper should be used sparingly and as an accent. If you wallpapered every room in your house it would be incredibly overwhelming.
I'm re-decorating several spaces in my home and my drab coffee nook was first on my list! I bought a gray/gold floral peel-n-stick wallpaper from amazon. It was less than $30.00/roll and it took me about 3 rolls to go through this small space. Lining up the flowers was a bitch but the peel-n-stick made it as easy as it could be. I feel like it's secure to the wall but does in fact, easily come off if needed. The best of both worlds!
You'll need a ladder, a sharp knife, a long/blunt object for smoothing out ripples and if you had another set of hands to help, that would make this process a hell of a lot easier.
Of course - I needed to prove to myself and my husband that I didn't need help so I did this project by myself until I got to the last strip which needed some serious finagling to line it up correctly. It took me about an hour and a half to cover an 8ft long section on wall. It's not perfect up close, but I'm pretty proud of it and it makes my morning coffee pours that much sweeter 🍵
