Condo Living!
Condominium's are not for everyone but they can be a great alternative for someone who needs a low-maintenance living situation. See some pro's and con's below!
Pro's:
- Typically one floor living
- The HOA should manage the grounds and exterior of the building for you. Some condo's do require that the owner replace or repair the windows in their own unit.
- Some HOA's have added benefits like access to a pool, fitness center, and walking trails.
- Most HOA's will cover the water bill for your individual unit.
- Most HOA's have assigned parking so you don't have to fight for your parking spot
Con's:
- You may have nosey neighbors in your condo since there are several units in each building.
- Sometimes condo's can assess their residents with additional fees for large and costly maintenance such as roof replacement or balcony repair.
- Condo dues will most likely increase year to year to keep up with costs.
