Time to Decorate Your Patio!
It's Summer time and that means evening meals on the patio, long conversation and late night's by the firepit. Staging your patio doesn't have to be expensive. One of my favorite stores to snag cute patio decor is Five Below! Walmart also has reasonable finds and they carry the Better Homes and Garden collection which is super cute and budget friendly!
DO:
Use an outdoor rug to frame your space
Create a dining area that's separate from a conversation area
Outdoor lighting is key!! If you don't have electrical, go solar!
Florals around the perimeter of the patio space welcome butterfly's and make it feel like a more secluded and whimsical area
You're outside - use bright colors and bold prints in your pillows and cushions
Make sure there's a shaded area to beat the heat
Shop smart!
DON'T
Plant greens that attract bee's
Over clutter the space
Put your seating area too close to the grill area
Forget to provide shade!
Once May hits in Maryland, I work, eat, and exercise outside! I spend about 6 hours a day outside and this space is crucial to me.
