 Change Your Lighting to Update The VIBES

Updating and swapping out some outdated lighting is a great way to update your home AND make it more energy efficient. I recently bought a 1960's home (that I LOVE) where the lighting is still from that era. Some of it is cool, but all of it is an energy hog. 

 Most of the fixtures were brass/gold. Even though this style is making a come back, I think it will be a short-lived fad. I decided on black. Black to me, is timeless and you can never go wrong! It matches any color scheme and I was able to update the outdated fixtures that used incandescent lighting to newer ones with LED lighting to help save on my energy bills. It's a slow and steady project but I took advantage of big sale days (like Wayday and Amazon Prime day) to save money and bundle on shipping.

Lighting is an inexpensive way to elevate your space and with a little Youtube advice, you can DIY the project!
