Buying a House this Winter?

A lot of people get sleepy in the winter. It gets dark early, it's cold, and I, for one, want to be in bed by 8pm because it feels like midnight.

BUT...If you can find some personal and financial motivation, the Winter is a GREAT time to buy a house!

1. There are less buyers out and about in the market which means less competition and more opportunity for negotiating room.
2. Lenders may have more time to expedite your file and deliver a smoother process to you with fewer other files on their case load.
   
3. Winter is a GREAT time for home inspections! You can see how a house is going to react in extreme cold/snowy conditions.
4. You may be getting a nice end-of-year bonus at work to help with some of the costs of moving!
5. You can buy over the holiday season and move in right at the new year for a fresh start!
