Most people enjoy the seasonal changes, especially here in Maryland where we get the full effects of all 4 beautiful seasons in their glory. Don't hide from them! Embrace the season when staging your home to sell.

• Pull the scents of the season into your home! In the Winter, use pine and soft peppermint scents, in the Spring, use fruity and flowery scents, in the Summer use scents like blueberry pie and lemon, and in the Fall use scents of pumpkin, cinnamon and vanilla.
• Lightly decorate for the season but don't go overboard. You don't necessarily need a Christmas Tree in every room if you're selling during the winter season but you might want use those evergreen colors and black/green gingham in your decor.
• Remember not everyone celebrates your holiday. You should strive to make all your potential buyers feel comfortable and welcome. Decorate for the SEASON, not the HOLIDAY.
• Keep your home's internal temperature appropriate for the season so your potential buyers are comfortable while touring your home. Not too warm in the Summer months and nice and cozy in the Winter months.
